Deuces Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 I'm probably going to buy two soundqubed HDS312 subwoofers and was wondering what is a good amplifier to power these I'm going to wire them down to 1 ohm they're 1200 watt rms, looking for an amplifier preferably under $200 please any suggestions are welcome
DubNDodge Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Goodluck with a budget of 200$. What does your electrical look like? Even though those subs are cheap, powering them won't be. Guaranteed. Look for a SQ2200 to power them, between that and crescendo are your two budget amplifers. in the 2k range. You WILL need to do the big 3 if you haven't already. Upgraded stock/front battery, and something in the rear as well. jarrius Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 What he said. 200 for a 2k amp is impossible unless you eather get super lucky or buy used. IMO save up and buy a 2k but you will need to think of the electrical you will need to run it. Or you can under power then now and buy a sq 1200. Or just get the hds2000 line 2012 Chevy sonic1xSQ HDC3 12 D2RF R1200d 140 square foot of Q-Mat(soon to be installed) 140.2Db sealed on the dash with TL 142 DB sealed on the dash with another meter (was dead on with the TL at a show i was at) 141 on music. strangeduck,on 02 Jan 2014 - 01:39 AM, said: when my car spins out i just put the car in neutral, turn in the direction i want to go and pucker my asshole
Guest Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 $200 for 2000rms. not going to happen. soundqubed 2200.
Jared420 Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 On that budget you really need to think about what your trying to accomplish. It's not as simple as slapping a big powerful amp into a car with no electrical upgrades. Without spending a few hundred dollars on beefing up your electrical u can slap a big expensive amp in and fry it due to low voltage issues and you won't even see the power it's rated at because it needs to be supplied the power it needs to make the power it's rated for. 2012 silverado ext cab ltz 24" kmc rims AudioQue 2200 Pioneer AppRadio Alpine mrx f35 4 channel Bose mids and highs Iraggi Alt + stock alt in a DC power dual alternator kit Yellowtop+stock under hood 0 gauge Knu wire Big 3 4 gauge stinger (4 chan wiring) 3 DC 10'' LVL3 with LVL4 parts
DubNDodge Posted February 23, 2014 Report Posted February 23, 2014 Also, what box are you putting these in? If you read the reviews on the sub and expect you can just drop these sub in a prefab box and get the results you want. You are extremely mistake. These subs need more cu ft then the average 12.
