SnowDrifter
You add a second battery if your current draw necessitates it ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

Draw does. Rudemaxxx
Having the extra battery almost ensures you that you keep above or around 14V which gives your amp max power and efficiency. But usually when you get another battery you upgrade your alt as well, because (if i'm not mistaken) most stock alts only give about 80-120A at max output and like max ~30 while idle. MECHMAN is the guy to talk to about alts and electrical, because, well, he's a MECHMAN Rep and it's his job Welcome to my sig My build on my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4: 2 Sundown SA 12's Sundown SAZ 1500d v3 Alpine CDE-HD148BT Hertz 165 Speakers Atrend Carbon Enclosure Stinger SPP925 Battery Sky High 2/0 & 1/0 Power Wire & Big 3 Legal 145.2 dB.
