If you cover on the baffle side (lets say) the, the account of space would still play? Or, do you cover the "entrance, inside the box" of the port? all would dick with internal vol eh? For real ? .. If your port is nice, square and easy to measure then you could seal at the baffle, calculate the total volume and then subtract the port. If that makes it easier.
