shogen
My issue is NOT which HID company/type/color ... I've got my own stuff going on, I have a kbcarstuff Volt + and DDM kit available ... What I'm thinking is using a projector properly in my headlight assembly... Surprisingly no horrible scatter w/ the housing in my Camry The projector I'm interested in is the Morimoto Matchbox 2.0 Intended for fog lights I feel it might be the easiest install into my stock assembly Here is a list of what I'm working w/: HIDs: kbcarstuff Volt + (xenondepot) 35w kit DDM tuning 55w kit wiring harness/relay Vehicle: 2003 Toyota Camry stock headlight assembly What everything looks like: Pioneer Premier P880PRS ll Front Stage: US Acoustics 4060 - Random speakers currently ll Sub Stage: Crescendo BC3500D - 15" Xcon sealed @ 3.28 cubes ll Electrical: - Kinetik HC1800(front) NEW***DieHard P-2(rear) beaker- I know this sounds like a lot of anime bullshit, but it is true. bluethunder
If you are still interested in doing this its very easy with the matchbox and the mini h1 projectors. Bake apart headlights, mount projector using supplied hardware and adapter plate, Wire hid's install headlights with lenses off, align projectors horizontally and vertically, put lenses back on reinstall headlights. Shouldn't take more than 4-5 hours for everything if no painting is involved. There are a ton of walkthroughs on hidplanet like another poster suggested that can guide you right through this. Also thanks for wanting to install hid's the correct way!! matt3477
Use the mini h1 projectors, the part that goes where your stock bulb would go is smaller so you wont have to cut as much or at all. But like bluethunder said, pull headlights apart put projectors and shroud in with supplied hardware, plenty of videos on YouTube showing how to do so. Best of luck. mattie
Agree with the Mini H1 projectors. I just finished my retrofit in my dodge CTD and absolutely love them. I bought my kit from "the retro fit source . com" and some cheap housings from ebay.
