Charging issue, what to look for *Video

So here is a story and will try to make it short for you guys. Yesterday morning drove to work and my volts where around 12.4. Once my vehicle warmed up some they went up to the 14's. This morning got in and my service charging system light was on. volts around 12.4 again and stayed there. (about a 40 minute drive to work) This has not happened since the alt/batteries were put in. Not sure what is going on. At work so wont be able to look into anything until later tonight. Did pop the hood before i walked in the office. No issue with my fuses going to the rear, no issue with wires from alt to battery, belt is fine, alt is spinning.

The set up:

Mechman 250 alt

xs 3400 up front

4 xs 3100's in the back

two pos runs from alt to battery

two pos runs from front battery to rear

two grounds from front to rear

front battery also has ground on engine, frame and stock location

SMD VM is hooked up to rear batteries

alt and batteries are no older than 3 or 4 months. all purchased new. no second hand equipment.

did turn the radio up for about a few seconds and volts drop and come back up but dont go up to the 14s where they should be. Any advice, thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

To be honest I'm not sure of the size. Its not stock. I beleive its 1.5 shorter than stock but could be mistaken. I also sent you guys a email too. thanks for the reply here.

Have a look at the alternator and check if you have a black powdery substance. If so then that is a sign of belt slip.

I'll check for belt slip and the lights were just on because of the automatic switch. I'll check to see if they come on when I go down there around 2 today. I teach the ROTC Program at a college out here and am going to another location here in a couple hours to go play in the woods. I'll look a little more then.

Could it be a possible PCM problem? Not a suggestion just a question. I got an 08 TB and I'm shopping for a HO alt.

That's why I asked about the headlights, I have an issue once in a while where I charge too high or too low, turn the headlight selector to ON and it drops/raises to either 14.3 or 14.6V

Good deal. Hopefully thats all it is. The only other issue I can think of is the grounds and by that I mean too many. Some of the vehicles dont like them and only want one for some reason. (PCM) Could be the alt but not really sure. Wont bash any company reguardless because nothing is made to last forever and I know Mechman will take care of it if it is the alt. I'll hit the lights this afternoon in a couple hours. Thanks.
