That's some serious alt power though, so I'm curious to the goal. 4 alts should be plenty with start he's running, 3 even. Local guy here has twin DCs and is running around 8K Watts. Yes Lots of alt power reasoning is the more power I can produce the less of a demand will be put on the bank. But I'm not 100% grasping the concept I'm still reading on it. And so far havnt found anyone that has been using a cap bank in a sailed driver. But going through that thread it seems like the purpose is to balance out the spikes and dips not to replace batteries. Granted no one said how many batteries they were using in conjunction with the caps. But a quick calculation with my space I have available. I could run a 96 cell bank with 4 d6500's in addition to the 2 d3400's up front. or run two 96 cell banks and just the D 300 ' up front.
