Krakin
Sundown X Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener. hdorre
My 10" Lvl 4s don't have any problem at all getting low. If my goal was to get low, Id be running Sundown X' though.. Or Zs if you need the power handling. Impalalpine
As stated above, Sundown X's are not a bad route with your goals in mind. The coils don't like much more than rated rms. (not a bad thing just something to be aware of.) Sundown has also had some trouble with the surrounds lifting but they have since sorted that (bolted down surrounds) If you look at the response of these sub's graphed you will see a large spike around 30hrz with a significant drop off above that as you rise, again not necessarily a bad thing with you're goals in mind. Build's consist of: 2004 Chevy Impala : Pioneer--------------------- DEH-X8600bs Soundqubed/AQ------ Q4-120 Rockford Fosgate---- Punch-500.4 Soundqubed/AQ----- Q1-3500D.1 Alpine----------------- 6.5's & 6x9's Subs: TBA All Knukonceptz and SHCA wire and rca's Home Music Setup (4) Soundqubed HDS200 15's in two separate 15.5 cubic foot enclosures tuned to 31 hrz --- XM radio hardwire Updates coming all the time on both builds n8ball2013 "bullshit. Impalalpine
also you should read this thread: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183815-how-much-power-can-sundown-x15-really-take/ "the leads from the coil to the tinsel s scare me on the x's and the z4s. They are thinner than .5 mm pencil lead" "I wouldn't throw too much more than rated at a woofer if you need to ask... Impalalpine
He wants to B-pillar wall two X 10's but to answer your question, e-30's rear seats don't fold down. he wants his box forward of that though Build's consist of: 2004 Chevy Impala : Pioneer--------------------- DEH-X8600bs Soundqubed/AQ------ Q4-120 Rockford Fosgate---- Punch-500.4 Soundqubed/AQ----- Q1-3500D.1 Alpine----------------- 6.5's & 6x9's Subs: TBA All Knukonceptz and SHCA wire and rca's Home Music Setup (4) Soundqubed HDS200 15's in two separate 15.5 cubic foot enclosures tuned to 31 hrz --- XM radio hardwire Updates coming all the time on both builds n8ball2013 "bullshit.
