skaraudio
The SK-1500.1D on (2) VVX-10v2 D4's would be a great matchup. Running 1 Ohm daily on that amp will provide optimal power (and then some) to these woofers =) If you build the enclosure to our spec sheet designed specifically for two of those woofers, you will be very pleased with the results! http://www.skaraudio.com/boxdesigns/DualVVX10v2PortedEnclosure.pdf -Kevin Skar Audio www.SkarAudio.comPhone : (888) 501-7527

Krakin
You are going to need a whole lot more port area than that. I run a single VVX v2. 10" with more area than that and I get insane port noise. If you want to tune the box at 31hz, I would strongly suggest getting as close to or more than 66 sq inches of port area. Edit: you also need to account for subwoofer displacements which would add up to 0.20 cubic feet. Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
