bcbrassard Posted March 11, 2014 Report Share Posted March 11, 2014 This is that i have now that i want to upgrade. The Box is Tuned to high, and the T1500 is over powering this sub in 1 ohm. So i am thinking of a new box design with 2 10s ported. Either sub and ports facing rear of trunk or sub facing rear with aero ports ported into cab. Or subs behind seats ported into cab. Not sure, but i have looked into Fi Q 10s, Sun Down SA-10 or Soundqubed HCD310s. All subs dual 2 ohm to put a 1 ohm load on T1500, kinda going for SQL and in a small trunk in a eclosure about 3.5 cubes. Any thoughts on which sub might work best in my application. People will discuss which is better but I think if you go with any that you've mention you'll be fine. There are plenty of options but differences will be minor at a given price. Personally I like sundown so that's what I would do. Someone else likes FI and SQ and DD and AA and so on. All good stuff. (Don't go with DD, prices are high) Ya there is a difference in price point, Sundown is the cheapest but also has the lowest rms rating, The Fi Qs and soundqubed can handle more power and if the T1500 wasnt enough for me i was thinking of upgrading to a T2500.
