Blake Farrar Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 So i have this problem with my mids and highs it has been doing this for about a week. So most of the time when im playing music at any level mostly full tilt though ill start to hear this static noise and than my mids and highs will go low the music is still loud but the vocals you cant even hear and sometimes it does it alot and sometimes ill go a hole day with out the problem. Ive literaly checked almost everything i can think of. At first i thought maybe something is lose in behind the hu so i checked the head unit everything was fine so i moved back to the amps and i checked all rca's, powers, ground's speaker wire, cross overs everything seemed to be fine. so maybe i thought it was the ipod cord changed that and it seem to work for the rest of the day but the next day the problem came back so i looked at all the rca wires for any pinches or anything wrong with them and nothing was wrong. so now i have no clue what it can be all i want to do is listen to my music again someone please help.

thefourth Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 Sounds like somethings loose. I'd retrace everything again. Grounds, power, speaker inputs, crossovers, inputs at amp. I know you checked RCA's but did you actually try swapping them with another pair? Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd.
Blake Farrar Posted April 15, 2014 Author Report Posted April 15, 2014 Could it possible be a bad hu?? i bought a new headunit so im really hopping it fixxes the problem if it doesnt ill check everysingle thing on my car and redo it and yes i do have extra rca's.

BoomZoom808 Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 What head unit are you using? My pioneer if I turn the SLA up too high I get static but not from all sources. Sounds like you are playing distortion and your gain is too high or your signal is coming in to hot from the head unit to the amps... 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON 12
