TeamHT
First thing I would do is stop putting the subs in separate boxes, lol Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
Aj11
me either! ill be tuning real low. have a Lil.less then 5k to the sub so i want it to be musical. i could care Less about tuning high to get a good score. personally i can't stand bass above 45hz but that's me. and.i said pass the 140 hoping for a 145. i have a strange feeling it's gonna be a 143 sealed. but i really don't care. as long as it hurts i don't care if the meter shows a 120 (i know it won't) but I'm.about all day full tilt music not short high buzzing burps! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
alaskanzx5
Unless you build in the trunk I guarantee 2 15s won't fit. if you build n the trunk you will still have a hard time for 2 15s. imo work your way up to 2 12s on 2-3k each. A big alt or 2, wiring needs to be solid. with that you could reach into the mid to high 40s range. you said you just want louder and a great sound so aim for that instead if a number. I used to. Want numbers but nit no more. I want loud simple as that. My next build is aimed towards 3k on 2 15s 6-7cuft tuned around 33-35hz. Might make it to where I can raise tuning just to see what it can do t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. alaskanzx5
ct exos they are 3000w rms with no max rating for burps! I'm getting a single 15 and putting 4000w to it. hoping for a 143 I had a single t2d415 on a 1500.1bdco do a hair under 143. Was a hatchback though and I'm sure you could get up there with more power and a good box. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. sbg
I hate to be this guy. I am in NO way a fan of JL. But I have seen with my 2 eyes! A kid in my town do 149 something with 2 w7 12s in a prefab box. On a kicker 2400.1. I don't know how but he did. Out of a trunk in a grand am. This was a small show in my town at the local shop. kirill007
150dB with 2 12's on 1500W isn't going to happen in a trunk. A more realistic goal would be 145dB with 2 12's and 3kW.(on music that will be hard enough of a goal to achieve for a beginner) ($$$ + effort) * knowledge = Loudness ($$$ + effort) * knowledge² = Loudness Fixed it for you. Aj11
interchangeable ports is a good idea for that. i was thinning about that but i know i would never use the higher tuned ones. and i should state that i want a 14+db at 30 or less hz. everyone.gives me crap when i say above 45hz is just annoying. put a 45-60hz wobble on at full tilt And tell Me that's not annoying! then do a wobble from 20-35hz tell nee which one is better. yea i bet one is louder but i know which one spectators will think is more impressive jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

I'm gonna fire into the cabin.from the ski hole. im fairly confident that i will up near the 145 mark but i really Dont care. if i can hair trick that's all that matters to me. I've wanted to for years and i think i finally have a system that i think can. well see. just need the sub to hit the sstates and sell my current subs to help pay.for singer Alt. then build the box. so by the end of may i should be finished jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
