Nvrhapy
Came up with a box size of 20x20x16 inside dimensions gonna try and do a round PVC port and flare the ends most likely a 6 inch round port around 12-14 inches long . How does that sound ? Edited April 29, 2014 by Nvrhapy
CleanSierra
It's less space than I would run. I'd want 3 cubes after sub and port displacement. I wouldn't run 3 cubes on the power you're planning to run. I would set your gain VERY VERY conservatively on that sub. You're planning to send twice rated power to the thing. That's too much power that thing. With 14" of port length on that diameter of port(this is me using rough math) you're likely around 40 Hz tuning. Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Stitched
What should I tune the box to ? Think you'd be happy with 34-35hz. I'm running E-15's right now and for what they cost they are awesome!
Nvrhapy
So the box is 3.7 cubes after sub and port what would I be at ? I can go bigger on the box no problem matter fact the box I originally came up with was 5.7 cubes. I have a hard time figuring the cubic ft of a box after sub and port any help would be great thanks
Nvrhapy
Ok what about 4.5 cubes , 6 inch port 11.5 inches long if my calculations are close that should put me at 3.8 cubes after displacement and the box should be tuned around 34 hz . Does this sound about right ?
