bigmizzle99
Some small updates... I got a new toy from Poorfish88 (thanks bro) Great deal on a great tool. Setting my gain like a boss (I stole that from someone on here..haha) This is my "workshop"...most what I do happens in the shed or in the yard I got a little something else in the mail too BAM! A new 4 channel amp! BNIB sold from a fella on another site. No shit, its a brand new C5c, never been opened! Also in the process of building another box. The one I built is really twice the internal volume that it should be for a single 12...soooooo its a little "boomy" Gonna see how it sounds in a properly sized box. I might try a sealed box for the DC also, what the hell, its only mdf. Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.

bigmizzle99
Nice purchase bro!!! I'm shopping for good deals on components now. I was mildly interested in a set of Mezzo comps for sale on here, but waited too long. Can I fit a bigger speaker than the tweet in that dash spot? Best practice is to keep the tweet closer to the midrange to eliminate time alignment issues. Was thinking to mount new tweet closer to mid....leaving the old tweet mount available Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.

Best practice is to keep the tweet closer to the midrange to eliminate time alignment issues. Was thinking to mount new tweet closer to mid....leaving the old tweet mount available Our factory "tweeter" is a 3" midrange... TBH, I never had TA issues or any quality issues with my tweeter in the dash... There's a site I used that makes custom pvc adapters to fit in the stock location...! If interested, pm me!!! If you check my BL on pg 18, I have a video of my last setup and you can here the quality even with the speakers in the stock location!! I "BELIEVE" (don't quote me) TA issues only occur when running active, so if you plan to run the passive crossovers, you will be completely fine with them in stock locations 2011 Nissan Altima aka Red Ruby HEADUNIT: Pioneer AVH X2700BS ELECTRICAL: -Singer 230a -Northstar gr34 -(2) Northstar SMS220 w/ Custom Terminals from 12V Metalworkz -100% Welding Cable FRONT STAGE:-(2 Sets) Hertz HSK165 -Hertz HSK130 -Ampere Audio 125.4 SUB STAGE: -(3) Sundown Audio SA REV2 12's -Ampere Audio 3800.1 V2 MISC (NON AUDIO RELATED): -Interior & Exterior Lights LED -Gloss Black Roof (PAINTED) -15% Front, 5% Rear Tint -Roof Spoiler -20" TSW Snettertons (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear) -Custom Projector Retrofit (FX-R 3.0, 6.5k HID, Morimoto Mini H1 (faux projector), Quad Starry Night Halos) ----- COMING SOON!! -Aftermarket Fog Lights -Custom Painted Engine Covers My Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169869-woods-2011-altima-aka-red-ruby-new-video-more-updates/page-109 Retrofit Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/185787-hid-projector-retrofitting-diy-by-wood/#entry2765346
bigmizzle99
Decided to move on to upgrading front stage from OEMs. First I scored a new 4 channel amp Then I needed to mount it somewhere. I've been trying to keep everything contained to my hinged compartment...but the new amp is larger (Class AB) than originally planned so I had to improvise a little This WAS the plan, to keep all Class D amps from RF...but I got a great deal on the DD so had to change. So I decided to change things around a bit The amp and cleansweep were installed this way Then I moved them around a little... Also added some speaker wire for the fronts in the white techflex... more on that Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.
bigmizzle99
The speaker wire went in extremely well...my car has these wire channels already installed down both sides... The techflex makes the wire super easy to pull...each bundle has 2 wires so if I want to add a second set up front, I'm good to go. Took out the sub, here are some new pics of it painted and with a little trim ring... Had some 1/4" aluminum left over from another project years ago, so decided to use it for an amp stand Got it cut and ready for sanding It will be elevated a little in the back to it "floats" above the equipment behind it Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.
bigmizzle99
Got all the wiring re-arranged and routed nicely All installed and amp mounted up. I'm working on the beauty panel to cover all this up now.. I'll post a pic of that soon. Camaro SS Build Altima build 2.0 Altima build 1.
bigmizzle99
I think my sub looks boss. And my car was awesome to run that speaker wire. Just popped off the trim, no need to run under carpet. I think I need an XS battery, though.
