AASMDBASS
I have an AQ 3500 and an SMD 18 and on low notes (25hz and below) the amp cuts off, to the point I have to shut the vehicle off, then back on to get the amp back on... I've talked to 2 shops, one is telling me the amp is bad, and the other is telling me that the sub is shorting out, causing the amp to shut off... Keep in mind, this is only happening on lower frequencies....... Another issue, the subwoofer will randomly start going crazy, randomly... This is what makes the 1 shop think it is the amp... The sub gets random bass Burts Any insight to your best opinion would be greatly appreciated Pioneer DEH 80PRS HU Ascendant Audio SMD 18" Audioque 3500.1D XS Power D3100 Rockford T1 components Rockford P400X4
SnowDrifter
Amp shuts off? Elaborate on this Protect? Power light? Does it pop back out on it's own or do you need to turn your car of then back on? Do you still get false output with your RCAs unplugged? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444

AASMDBASS
I have to shut the vehicle off completely in order for the amp to work again... And sorry for the post topic name... Phone autocorrect... I haven't checked the RCA inputs once the amp shuts off... Would I use a multimeter for that? ** edit- I have not checked the amp for power once the RCA are disconnected...
