I took a gamble on XXV Sampson a few years ago. Figured all the stories about guys blowing them up were just people who didn't have enough batteries or were abusing them.

Wire it up to 2 ohm nominal, real easy on the gains, surely I'm safe, right?

Spent more time installng it than listening to it before it blew up every MOSFET on the board. And we're talking listening to it at levels that you'd have a normal conversation over (like head unit volume levels).

Last one of their POS products I ever touch. Good luck to you if you're shopping for electronics with your prime criteria being price per advertized watt.

I've had a few simulations do that on me, lol.

Krakin's Home Dipole Project

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

and who can hold 14.8 volts?

you say you want a $600 amp but ask about $100 amps.

that ct 2500.1 will do everything you want and more!

that same board is the new 3000.1 And that's a@ 12volt rating. it will do 2000w rms all damn day at 2ohms

no easy way out here Man. you want real power you need to spend real money.

if you buy a $100 3000w amp that's not a miracle... it's a lie and a headache.

alright how about this. i want to be in the range of 1200-1600 rms at 2 ohms

I have the BRX1600.D1, never gotten hot, never went into protect, sounds good when setup properly, and it looks decent. I believe the Brutus line Does Do RMS power, Im happy with mine. Everyone has there fav brand and I was hesitant at first but this thing does its job and it does it well. Just my personally experience. I will get a better amp when I am able but thats just because i want to slowly grow my system and move stuff around to my diff cars. I think best bang for your buck, my amp has never even got warm.
