rsfm089
I have tons sounds like a helicopter at anything lower then 35hz and anything over 50hz can't even listen too. But it is the first box I ever built so its coming out anyways. My question is what causes port noise and what prevents it. Want my next box to be perfect. Phaeton
WELL, Try taking out the subs and using silicone to seal up the box, That will help a lot. Also, Perhaps its not enough port area. 1997 subaru legacy outback Four 15's in a almost wall Rockford Fosgate t2500-1bdcp Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on tweets Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on highs Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midrange Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midbass Optima Yellow top batteries 270A Singer alt (working on a bracket for a second) Lots of Second Skin

mothra
Joe x designed it so the port is good I'm not worried about this box I'm upgrading so I don't want to f up the next one no the port is not good. port noise is caused from to small of a port pushing air too fast. increased port area reduces port noise b/c the air cannot get a high enough velocity to create noise. if nothing changes, nothing changes You don't know what you don't know, till you don't know
rsfm089
I should of said that the area of port is good I think its a builder error but I think I understand what u r saying the noise comes from not enough room for the sound to get through
