2011 F150 Update: Blown sub, wall planning back in progress

Recommended Posts

Very nice man. Cant wait to see this one finished.

Thanks! Appreciate it :)

On a side note, I finally crawled underneath my truck to get some pics of my fuse bank and wire runs. Still need a bit more clean up on the power end of things, but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Power/first fuse bank. Second set of fuses will be going after the battery bank. Moar fusing is moar better!!

My head unit plan may have changed now. A friend of mine just told me about the iStreamer device. Which will allow me to go straight from the iPad to my MS-8 without having to use the Kenwood head unit. The only issue I'm facing with that option, is losing hands free calling. I kind of knew I was going to have to lose Sync, but with the Kenwood at least I had some type of hands free bluetooth that would shut down my music when I got a call.. Gonna see if I can figure something out...

imo the mdf would be fine if that is raptor liner or something of the sort.

Shit looking great though

Work looks good, but are those fuse holders water proof?

You know, that's a good question that I never thought of. I'll have to find out.

why fuse it there???

looks great else where... well done.

I'm not sure why he didn't fuse it in the engine bay. Maybe he thought there wasn't enough room..? I meant to ask a while ago but forgot to.

Unfortunately yes, it is MDF. That is indeed rocker guard on it so hopefully it holds up ok. But I'll be keeping an eye on it, and changing it out if it starts to look shitty.

Thanks for all the compliments too guys!

Progress looks good so far! I am tuned the F in for the final product. I along with others are a tad concerned with the fuse placement though. Its random and very open for anything to happen such as shit on the road, off road, etc.

Ya, i hadn't really thought about it until everyone started mentioning it here. I mentioned earlier that I'm not doing most of the work, but I will be taking some advice from here and changing a few things around when it's all said and done. Not sure if I'll just build a cover for that fuse panel, or relocate them to the engine bay. I do appreciate everyone's input for sure!
