these shows are always on days when I finally have time for the build! pushing to get done by winter...or at least the amp rack, front stage, and bumper. I've had no sound in this car for a good month or so. And as soon as it gets cold, nothing is gonna harden outside. Hoping to finish the welding on the amprack today.

amprack almost done. I had to do some in-car welding too....I was trying to avoid this since I figured it would be that "red flag" the neighbors needed to complain; but no one said shit, so I think I got away with it. I need to add some braces between the top amps and bottom amp so they don't bend, and I want to use 2 more mounting points since right now, they are all in the center. Gonna try and do the same everyday after work thing again this week.

oh and I changed to orientation around....it was gonna be big amp on the back, small amps on the bottom.....but it works better with the highs amps on the back.

Hmmm.... That's a good size amp rack, you must have a pretty good size amp to stick on that thing.

haha bet I do.....and it may be in sooner than I thought. Got an email from nathan at EA; my alt is gonna cost 90 bucks to fix. paypalled already. Probably gonna invest in some small batteries to fit in the side panels by friday. then all I need is the recones for the subs and some more fuse blocks and 0 gauge terminals I'll have basically 100% of the equipment needed!

big amp mounts are in. So close to being done with the rack.....just want to do 2 more plates to hold my smaller amp....And just in time, this weekend is supposed to be back up in the highs 70s so I can do some more filling to the bumper.

Looking good man! Love the amp rack!

thanks man!

thanks man! I'm real happy with how close it was

I think I'm done welding....Last 2 plates are in for the back-up amp. 3 out of the 4 sets of mounting holes are tapped with 8-32s.

Now I have a choice to make, my next purchase is going to be either small batteries and fuse blocks, or one piece headlights to fit the bumper, or carpet, or recones for the 8s, or the 6 3/4 speakers. They all cost around the same amount to buy, I just don't know what order I want to go in. I'd like to get the bumper done before it gets really cold out and I won't be able to finish it. That's probably what I'll be going for....and I'm going to try and tackle the rust in the back quarters this weekend too. Also, my alternator is all fixed and on it's way back here!

took care of the passenger side dog leg this weekend....it sucked. Had to cut out a lot more metal than I thought. The rust just kept going. Finished with duraglas for now.

Right when I took off the rear bumper cover, it already began....

that took about 13 hours to do. Mainly because I chose to cut out the inner supports that were rusted to shit too. and I had a few hiccups with the welder.
