I am planning my new system out. This will be going into a semi that gets run over the road everyday. If any of you have experience in setting up a quality sound system in one of these monsters i'd enjoy hearing from you. I am trying to decide between several different things and thought i would ask for some input.

My main concern will be sound QUALITY. I like things sounding smooth, accurate and detailed. I will lay out my categories, what i would enjoy hearing is your thoughts and opinions on what i am currently looking at as well as any suggestions you may have in similar price ranges.

Components:

Crescendo mezzo series 6.5"

Sundown SA 6.5"

I do know the wattage rating is quite different between these 2 sets. Any thoughts, opinions or suggestions to look into?

Subs:

DC Audio level 2 12"

DC Audio level 3 12"

Sundown SA 12"

Sundown X 12"

Lots of variance in terms of price and wattage rating again here. These will be going into sealed enclosures. Thoughts, opinions or suggestions?? (I plan to run 4 12" subs) Also, does anyone have any idea how much power OVER rating the DC Audio level 2 and Sundown SA series will take safely?

Amplifiers:

Here I wont be getting model specific only because the model needed will vary so much between what choices i make with both components and subs. The brands i am currently looking at are:

Sundown

DC Audio

Incriminator

Once again, anyone have any thoughts, opinions or suggestions?

As far as power to the sub, it all depends on the box and how you set everything up. I have an sa 15 in a great big ported box and ran it on 1000w. There were no issues. But each build is different and we can't say for sure what will be too much for your situation.
