33hz Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 wouldn't the cheapest solution for you be to sell the sub and find for a D2? 2k rms @ 1 Ohm is CHEAP to do these days. 2k rms @ 2 Ohms... not so much :-/ Basshead not audiophile
Guest Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 My budget was around $300 tops. Think I found out what I need since posting this thread. Hifonics x2600.1D. Rated at 1900 watts @ 2 ohms for $319. Probably end up getting it since every other amp that was CEA and close to 1900 watts @ 2 ohms was usually like $400 or $450. Thanks for the help guys! it wont do 1900w. try like 1400. CEA literally means nothing.
gr8handogoatness Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 Yeah the hifonics wont do the full 1900 like it says. It will get close but a hifonics 1900 watt rating and a DD, SQ, Sundown or any of the real good brands 1900 watt rating are far different. I think you should look into trading it for a dual 2 ohm version. Then the doors will open up for you.
deathcards Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 i say c2 audio recon 1.6 but $450 puts you out of budget unless you save a bit skar sk2500.1 0 gauge power and ground kunukonceptz alpine HUvxi65 components on BA gt-275new build log -> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/150642-project-d-kon-deathcards-build-log/#entry2148821 2 x-15 sundowns singer alt, odyssey bat, and maxwell ultra caps

If this is your budget and your sticking to it. 1ST DO NOT go with the hifonics, you will be disappointed and realize that you just through away your money. Go with Soundstream over hifonics. While Soundstream may not be top dog on the block. They are far better than Hifonics. The following amp fits your budget and watts required. http://www.amazon.com/Soundstream-TA1-3000D-Tarantula-Watts-Amplifier/dp/B00C51Y2OW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403457423&sr=8-1&keywords=soundstream+ta1.3000d truthsayer

Miguels Posted June 22, 2014 Report Posted June 22, 2014 dont get any of the sounds too good to be true amps.. its best you wait a few months to get a better budget for a good quality amp.. those cheap amps wont last long and have a dirty signal.. a good budget amp that does rated at 2ohms is the kicker zx2500.. its also under rated, seen them do well over 3k (some) 2.8k is the minimum i seen they put out and used can be had for $450 my logshttp://www.stevemead...-my-new-set-up/my blow through loghttp://www.stevemead...future-updates/ 96 ss http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/164094-96-impala-ss-build/
