BigManAC
Most of the time the problem is finding somebody with a meter. No one around me has a termlab with a couple of hours drive. Should finally have a score though bc of a show next month where I'll finally have my car metered and it's a 3hr drive. Not to complain bc I know plp have driven and even flown to go see shows. OP it really all depends on the car and setup of the equipment. g2shuck
Hell with how cheap meters have got now. ($400) anybody that serious about bass should own one. Get a couple buds to chip in if you have too. Then you can hold you own friendly competitions lol. 2000 Toyota Camry With Sealed Off Trunk Sky High OFC Wiring DC Power 270 XP Alt AQ 2200 Sub Amp Two DC Level 4 m2 12s 80 Mil Murdetmat Gathering Parts For Wall Build. alaskanzx5
I had 2 t2d412 on a 1500.1bdcp do just over 143 and it had some flex, some had issues with breathing or comments about their vision but some didn't. had 1 t2d415 on a 1500.1bdcp do just 1db under my 2 12s. A whole lot more flex and louder to my ear. Some songs could add some work to me breathing. Still not as loud as the 12s though. the meter is a beast of its own. Just because you think its loud doesn't mean it will be loud on a meter. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz. JeepAndBassXJ
I do live about an hour from Steve Meade's shop, I could try to see if he would let me meter lol. I understand that it might not meter good but still be loud to the ear and visa versa. My system is 2 Fosgate HX2 12's with PSI 1000 watt rms recons. I'm only giving them around 1200 watts rms and they still do ok. They are in a 4th order in the back of my Jeep Cherokee, I've put in a lot sound deadener and all the electrical upgrades to handle more power than I'm pushing. Thanks for the input so far, I'm simply curious because it's loud for being 12's on such little power compared to some bigger systems I've heard. JeepAndBassXJ
It all depends on the person. ex: i've sat in keith millers jeep which to most people is impossible to breathe in and what not, in which i had no problem breathing. This is his jeep in case you guys dont know it My all time favorite Jeep system. Im sure its still louder than mine from 5 feet away lol YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/JeepAndBass Website: https://www.jeepandbass.com/ My Jeep: 157.3dB @26hz Drag Style 162.3dB @36Hz Outlaw 160.7db @35hz Headrest My Honda: 155.4dB Drag Style 158.0db Outlaw
DrewJones
I'm able to drive the shops Isuzu around no problem, it's upper 58's around 50Hz and 156's around 30Hz. I can see fine, breathe fine, and no discomfort at all....
