Could these Extreme cars actually end a persons life if you were to sit inside?

181.9db? What is that? 6psi ish? 6psi oscillating at 50+hz. Yeah I could see dieing from that. Figure anything with an air pocket inside your body is going to be expanding/contracting by a factor of 40-50% many times per second. I'm not sure if it would kill you immediately but I can see it easily shredding the surrounding tissue and bleeding to death internally

183 is 6 psi - particle velocity(or wind blast) is about 180 mph. It's also equivalent of 0.9 mi from Hiroshima

Seriously read this list: http://www.makeitlouder.com/Decibel%20Level%20Chart.txt

LOL and guess what happens if you were .9 miles from Hiroshima. (disregarding the thermal issue LOL)

We all know the list, bro.

Okay good...because its full of crazy shit. Like the volcano @ 310db ripping 1 foot of concrete at 300 miles. Put THAT in a van.

As long as we say it's for science, the public shouldn't have a problem with it.

Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist?

I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . .

What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself

but what has drawn your attention

in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums

An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space

Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears,

thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.

The Nazis did an ungodly amount of human testing on the Jews in WWII and gathered a bunch of very valuable information about the limits of the human body. We could do the same with murders.
