Volvo 740 wagon. The Beat Box. (NEW CAR!)

Up next: Pics of the amp board mounting for those who asked.

3 of the 4 corners have all thread bloted through the sheet metal, but my only solution to 'pinning' the board in was this tab.

All thread poking through the carpet.

The NVX sound deadener has held up well. I may finish up those gaps with some spare pieces I have laying around. Still doesn't rattle behind the rear seats.

Thank you guys. That issue was completely my fault. I didn't believe a 1k watt amp could overwhelm any wuality of 4 gauge wire. Glad I didn't learn the real hard way and end up with damaged equipment! I took some pics and video this weekend, the car is still alive and playing harder than before with the new 'upgrade'. Pics and vid soon.

Went to the school near my place to do some full volume testing. Its only a few blocks from home and isolated enough to not upset the neighbors. Voltage is still dropping under heavy abuse, but much steadier after fixing the fried cable. A purpose-built battery should keep things happy for the forseeable future. Just a few months away from getting home and starting on the 242

Wait, did you solve your burning 4gauge problem by replacing wire and removing fuses? That sounds fishy to me.

The car is amazing- I would hate to see it burn.
