Anyone work construction?

Recommended Posts

After nearly 3 months laid off, the union hall calls me up. I got hired on an electrical company for a new casino build in town. Awesome money and a ton of overtime, but DAMN!!! It's so freaking dirty, nasty, and hot out there. Not to mention I probably walk 2-3 miles a day going all over that 26 floor hotel.

Does it get better? lol

seems thats up to you man......

You dont like what you do, its not the jobs fault.

Some, would die sitting at a clean office. Maybe you need to think about what you want to do....

(but man, jobs suck,... a NBA all star, doesnt go shoot hoop on the weekend.... lol...)

Life aint what happens to you..... its how you deal with what happens....

(and im HORRIBLE at that....shit)

I've spent the last 4yrs of my life in fast food, retail, and college. Excuse me for being in shock. Thanks.

Nah, not the jobs fault at all. It's just all I could find. I like the maintenance side of things, not the construction. With no experience under my belt, I need this I guess. What do you do for a living?

Its called life. You either work or you don't.

I'd kill for an opportunity like that right now. Full shifts plus overtime? Fuck yeah. Haven't been able to find a job over minimum wage in 3 years since leaving the military, and I have a degree.

What is your education in?

id love that job..

You're in Houston? Come over about 3 hours to Lake Charles. They'll probably put you to work. Industry is going to be out of control by the new yr. TONS of construction. Sasol is expanding out the ass
