SWIFT
If your not doing a all out SPL build to be competitive then I always build to play the bandwidth I want and have the sound I'm looking for, if it does good numbers then so be it. I would start by maybe lowering port area with boards and that will lower tuning as well, see how it sounds. If you like it then you know what to do, if your goal is a high sealed score then you will need to look at ripping it all out and building for that goal. Mine falls on its faced sealed as well, about 4-5 db lower than opened up, but most would rather have a demo from mine than something built solely for numbers. You need to choose your goals and build for such. my only real concern is the bandwidth, im going to seal off the sides soon that should help too. I really need to go do that this week, You cant even judge whats going on until you seal off. My peak went from 43hz to 33hz just by sealing off the wall, I also gained 3db in the process between that and the subs breaking in. Your disaapointed without even knowing whats its going to sound like 2012 F250 Lariat 6.7, lifted on 22's and 35's 4 DSS Ethos 18's walled tuned low 2 Ampere Audio 7500.1's, Ampere 125.4 Rockford Pro Audio front stage 9 batteries, Mechman Elite 370 alt Team DSS, Team Ampere Audio 2014 Meca Mod 3 TN State champ / 3rd place Mod 3 World Finals
Kyblack76
I wouldn't look for a fix all either sealing off. I gain zero. Peak stayed. I'd expect a huge swing being that the wall in question was tested at a time where it was no where near sealed off. Like a box build and pushed in place. That said. You have a quite a lot separation. Christ, from 2 hz. I'm .3db with in almost 10hz. Band width ftw. :shrugs: SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold
Kranny
how thick is the baffle? rear wave is probably getting choked cause the air has nowhere to go and the gap between the spiders and top of basket is really small

Kyblack76
a lot of people that up power, LOSE on the low end. If your pushing the drivers fairly hard now,.... adding enough power to score you better, edit - COULD CAUSE bottoming, softpart, (driver) issues. Of course if you are WELL be low power, ... then of course it can only help, but, if your pushing them fairly hard now, and you had more power, that LOW LOW, will go BOOM BOOM......
