Mr DeeBeez
I currently have an FI SSD 15" on a Rockford Fosgate 1000 watt amp. I found on craigslist an FI SSD 18" for $200. Would it be worth it to buy the 18? is there going to be a noticeable difference? Need to decide fast because there is someone else thinking about buying this one as well. What do you guys think? Robert8252
The 18 will have around 40% more cone area. So in the right box yes it technically should be louder. 2013 F150 Crew Cab Old Build Log Feedback 2013 F150 Equipment - Some Awesome Stereo Sound Making Stuff
Katt
But also take in account for the area you have to fit a proper box. Its better to have a smaller sub in a proper box, than a bigger sub in a smaller choked box which most people don't realize lol. *06 330i - Sundern x12 - saz-3500* *91 Foxbody V1 S-Trim Notch*
pioneerforlife
I would buy it, and recone it to a 15 and have 2 15's if you have the room. but if you are sticking with a single sub, in the right box there will be a difference. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud

Mr DeeBeez
yeah the box is kind of strange. it looks like it has enough volume but has 3 holes for the port. looks like 3 small aero ports Fi Team 18's (4) Crossfire 16k Crossfire 400.4 & 800.4 Pioneer AVH-X491bhs 140ah cmax CES 320's (2)

Joe X
If you have a trunk car and would need to fire up or don't have the proper net airspace I wouldn't do it, besides, how many CL deals do you think go bad for the buyer? Anyways, if you decide to buy it, testing free air is not enough, test it around rated power for more than a few minutes in a (his I guess) proper sized box and see how it behaves or if it gets stinky. Mr DeeBeez
ok. i have to wait because he has someone coming to look at it before me. so it might already be sold. and i have a trunk car but the trunk is huge so i think i would be able to make a front facing box that will fit. thank you all for your input Fi Team 18's (4) Crossfire 16k Crossfire 400.4 & 800.4 Pioneer AVH-X491bhs 140ah cmax CES 320's (2)
