Clamp meter read 11.5A DMM read 50.3V Box rise 4.4ohms Watts rms 578 Question: Is the low wattage due to the stock electrical or is it the box rise?? The box rise seems to much to be normal lol. audiofanaticz Posted August 7, 2014 Report Posted August 7, 2014 Considering that amps specs are:4 ohm power @ 12V @ 1% THD500x 1Id say its due to the impedance rise, and even still rising to over 4 ohms, and still doing around rated power, that is if you at least had some way of measuring distortion or clipping to ensure that the output was clean.

Window open meter in the passenger kick on the USACi clamp. I was asking the OP. If he's testing for amp output... it's usually best to clamp around tuning where rise is lowest. Or if he's clamping at his SPL peak it's nice to know how much (or little) power you need to achieve your score. I was also asking about his speaker leads because he could have double the power and half the rise if he only clamped on speaker lead (if he has two).
