So I ordered up some beefy beefy recones this time!!! I'm still waiting on them so in the mean time I'm going to refurbish the box and make it presentable again, It has suffered a lot of abuse from moving it in and out of the car and pulling the subs numerous times.

Those HX2 subs are VERY limited in how big of a coil you can squeeze into the gap and have a rather shallow backplate. You're really limited in mechanical and thermal power handling with that platform. Don't think that these new recones are the silver bullet to throw 2K per sub into them without trouble.

That said, great results for the equipment. Your hard work has really paid off.

I know that I could have done more with another sub but I'm honestly impressed with what they do. I have had heating issues in the past yet that's been because of heavy abuse. When I smell coils I tend to just keep beating them because I'm mean to my subs lol! I got a year and a half out of the old recones and these so far have been much more efficient both in output and cooling. The coils make up for the motor's lack in ability to cool so I will be over powering them like I do always, I clamp at comp around 1.9k but for daily they have always seen more than rated and been able to keep up. Thanks for the input.
