So I got a couple updates, finally put 2x4s on the sides and I bought pipe and floor flanges, just can't put them in cause I got them cut too big and apparently now the threader/cutter at lowes is broken..

that's not the finished product but I added more wood and then foamed behind it

Also some bad news, I have a friend that makes dubstep and he does a good job but his latest song has a super dirty bassline and caused this to happen

Now I never get my subs smelly, sometimes kinda warm but never smelly. I play my friends song and they got smelly and eventually one cut out ?. But, my plan is to recone both of my subs with team sundown softparts and I'm gonna recone them to dual 2s and run the 7k a little more conservatively but at .5 now. I've also decided I'm not gonna rebuild for now and see if I can just make some improvements on this box because I think it's definitely got some potential. Should be a fun project and I'll keep this updated when I get them reconed.

Actually I think you can get more DB's by working on your loading wall port. We did the opposite thing,. You started big and then tried to shrink the port with 2x4's. I started with a smaller port and cut a bigger port out. I lost quite a bit when I did that. When I tried to shrink it back down with 2x4's it really did no good because it will still blow air through the 2x4s.

Make you a nice solid removable port that does not leak with an opening that tested the best for you. Should make a noticeable difference.
