Will I lose output if my port is not loading off anything close?

Since that seat is virtually unusable anyway, why not remove it and build something more efficient? At least something that allows you to face it different directions for testing.

what he said....no point in it being there still if it's folded up

remove it and build a flat floor

box and whatever else on top of that

The seats removed. The picture with the black box shows how my sub is going. I've removed the folding seat, that how I was able to fit this box.

So is the new box built yet? If not I'd definitely rethink the design.

Due to the shape of the cab you are technically loading it off of the roof. I had a much smaller box I tested with but found port up against the back wall to be best. Better than forward, backward, and to the side with the sub facing the same direction. Same truck just crew cab.

So how it is in this picture? My concern was that it's too far from the roof to load off it, maybe I'm wrong. Did you ever try having the port like I've shown in paint picture above?

At least with that you'd be able to rotate it to test the port facing different directions.

Yeah like I said Joe X designed the box hopefully he'll chime in with his thoughts.

I was just brainstorming, hopefully having the same port in the same box with the port orientated differently won't make any difference in the box (volume, tuning ect...) except for the difference in the port orientation.

I've never played around in your particular truck but when i had my extended cab dodge i was told to fire and port down and it made a big difference. I noticed it hit harder and sounded a little louder. It made so much more flex in my truck not having any sound deadener that it broke my moonvisor....just a thought
