boom50cal
Don't really want to drop $115+ on the tool to only use it twice(my car and my sisters car) soooo if anybody here has one, I'd be more than happy to rent it/put a deposit on it+pay shipping both ways to use it for a weekend. Here's a link to it... http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-camshaft-holder-tool-fits-all-5-cylinder-engines-cta-2864?gclid=CjwKEAjw68ufBRDt0Zmrn4W_8AwSJADcjp1cJv0M6AX0NT1ixVihZMeUq4NgQk45QO5o26GtfVWb4RoCI1jw_wcB On 1/4/2013 at 9:31 PM, HatersGonnaHate said: Wow. 184 posts and I think you're a fucking asshole. OrionStang
Longshot, but any auto parts stores near you rent tools? There is an AutoZone here that carries some off the wall tools. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread
boom50cal
Autozone here doesn't have it, sadly enough. The O'Reilly's is full of fucking idiots and don't know what I'm talking about so they sure don't have it. If I can't find one to use for a weekend we may just end up buying it. My sister's car needs the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, all that shit serviced and we will need it for it too. 1badgsd
I bought one for my old 850, and sold it a couple months later for about 15 dollars less than a paid. I thought that was pretty good. Have fun replacing those seals. I found on mine it popped the seals a couple times, come to find out the pcv is a service interval item on those cars (every 60k) and most never get it done, thus pressurizing the crankcase and popping out seal. Just passing it along if you have a leaky seal. I miss that 850t, was a great car,
boom50cal
Already did the cam seals once, and we made a tool that kinda worked. But then we replaced the VVT unit, and realized that the tool we made only KINDA worked lol. Hoping Captain Woosh has one! Keith77
I has one but just can't send it out. :/ wish I could Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born. My penis is bigger than your penis I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

It will still be worth $115 if you get rid of the cars and sell it. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

matt14
You dont need the lock tool, unless you are replacing the cam seals or the cvvt hub. The seals hardly ever leak on those, the cvvt unit does. But unless you are replacing either of those parts, you dont need it. I worked for Volvo at a dealer for almost 10 years as a tech. Water pump also hardly ever leaks, but thats up too you if you want to replace it. If you are planning on replacing the seals as well, you will need the Volvo seal installer for that engine. It sets the seal in the correct depth. Volvo cars are very sensitive to correct seal depth and will cause a leak if not installed correctly. I have fixed a number of cars that came back in after a independent shop replaced the seals and did not use the correct installer . 2006 GMC YukonPioneer HU SHCA ran throughout Crescendo BC3500 One 18 AA Mayhem in a 4th order ZED Levithian 6 channel Rainbow Dual 6.5 comps ran Activehttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/155628-matt14s-yukon-mayhem-in-a-4th-ordernew-amps-and-bats/page-

The reason I need it again is to lock it in place so I can reset my cam timing properly. It's like 2 teeth off. Being that way causes the car to run like shit, VVT doesn't engage correctly, I have no boost at low rpm, all that bullshit.
