Dear Car Audio Community,

I would officially like to welcome you all to the Internet. The Internet is full of crazy shit, you gotta be careful. Unfortunately in this Internet world there are people like me that like to fuck shit up. But don't worry I'm not here to scam you or steal your money. I'm here to teach you a lesson. The following tips will help protect yourself in this crazy fucking place.

1. USE A STRONG PASSWORD!

2. DO NOT USE THE SAME PASSWORD ON THE DIFFERENT WEBSITES!

3. USE DUAL AUTHENTICATION WHEN POSSIBLE!

4. DO NOT FUCKING CLICK ANYTHING YOU DON'T NEED TO BE CLICKING!

5. DON'T TRUST ANYONE, PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET ARE MANIPULATIVE AS A CARS SALE MAN ON COKE, IT'S CALLED SOCIAL ENGINEERING!

I hope you all take something from today. And don't worry, all your information is safe with me. ;)

Words of wisdom. If your password is the same here as it is on any of those sites. Change it here. And there. And any where else that uses that password.

still works if you don't go to the homepage. I went to my profile page on MAF and it works fine from there

That means that they didn't actually do any real harm to any of the websites, or delete the sql tables or any of the other files for that matter.... Just changed the index file, which I guess would mean that whoever did it is just trying to have some fun and no real serious pain to any of the sites. So it's more or less just an annoyance until the owners can get on and switch the index back and that'll take just a few seconds once they realize what's happened. lol.

Of course, there's still that chance that they did download the tables and could possibly be trying to pull the emails and decode the hashes to get the passwords. As always, still a very good idea to change passwords if you're on any of those boards.
