focused313 Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 Car: Cadillac STS Headunit: Stock Nav Unit Mids/Highs: Stock Bose 15-speaker Sub Amp: TXI6006 (600 x 1 @ 4ohm) LOC Converter: Audio Control LC2i Budget: $200 Looking for adding bass to otherwise decent bose setup. I've pretty much narrowed it down to two different things: P31x-12 600w RMS dual 2 ohm in pre-fab'd, manufacturer spec enclosure $175-$200 http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p3-1x12 I will absolutely not be building the enclosure myself. I'm only using the amp because it's leftover from another install. Learning Everyday. Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD Alpine SPS-610C BXI-2008D (2) SWR-1242D / Ported
MaxVolume Posted September 8, 2014 Report Posted September 8, 2014 sounds like a versus thread, bad juju anyway, adding just a bit of bass? won't take much sub and amp if the box works well (those prefabs are hit or miss in that department) also, just thought it was funny that the SE link to the prefab says vented but pictures are a sealed box just made me laugh that even the pages for a prefab are cheap

1badgsd Posted September 12, 2014 Report Posted September 12, 2014 I run that sub at 1 ohm to a 800 rms amp and a proper ported box to fosgates specs and it sounds good to me
