08 Tundra double cab full build PICS

Alright so I recently bought a 2008 Double Cab SR5. I have "some" *cough cough* background in stereo so I have wasted no time in getting gear ordered and planning the build. My biggest concern was enough room for bass but keeping a stock look and feel of the truck. I come from a suburban with two 15's so i figured I would be disappointed no matter what I do. In the past I have installed the 8w7 stealth box in these trucks and I have been impressed. Mostly it has to do with how they fire off the back wall. As good as they sound one 8" isn't enough for me... BUT... three of them might do ;) ... JL makes it clear this stealth box only fits on the location its designed for, but I figure with some small mods, anything is possible... So I ordered all the gear a few weeks ago. Here is what made the list...

Head Unit - Alpine x008u 8" double din

Dash Kit- Alpine Perfect Fit Kit

Processor- JBL MS-8

Front Stage- Hertz Mille 6.5" Component Set

Front Stage Amp- Audison Voce Duo

Rear Fill- Nooooo thank you!

Sub Stage- (3) JL Audio 8w7 Stealth Boxes

Sub Amp- Rockford T1500-1bdCP

Batteries- Stinger SPP1500dc and SPP680

Wiring/Interconnects- Sky High Car Audio

Alarm/Remote Start- CompuStar CM6000 with Slice Remote

Sound Deadening- (2) Bulk Packs of HushMat (for now)

Also- Crap Load of Techflex - And time I don't have =/

Alternator- ***Coming Soon***

As it sits now I have the alarm/start installed, all the under hood done, Alpine Double Din and Perfect Fit Kit installed, all the wires ran, amps/processor/crossovers mounted, batteries installed, and stealth boxes installed and bolted down. HushMat is installed on back wall, floor under back seat, and C Pillars. Also added some carpet over the HushMat on the back wall to give it a cleaner look. The stealth boxes were a MAJOR PITA!!! Almost gave up a few times, but luckily, I didn't ;) . I had to majorly modify the seat brackets (lots of cutting) and do some minor spacing. It all fits snug as a bug now. But I got nervous for a min! I got VERY lucky when it came to mounting the SPP680 battery in the rear. Fit nicely (perfect) between the middle stealth box and the seat bracket, Looked like it was meant to be! Anyways, its gonna be a couple weeks before I can set up the MS-8 and have sound. I only have a few hours a week to dedicate between work/wife/life. But one thing I won't do is rush it. I want it done right. Basically what I have left is to sound deaden all 4 doors, build plates to mount mid bass driver in front door, mount tweeters, run wires through door boot, build custom bass knob mount (gonna be sick), build custom mount for MS-8 display, and then tune!

Anywho, here is my progress pics thus far... I am new to the MS-8 so this will be my first time setting one up. Comments/concerns/advice of any kind is always welcome on any part of the build. Thanks for looking!!!!

Looking forward to getting more done and being able to add more pics!!! Also need to take a pic of the Head Unit installed (whoops!) Will do that tomorrow.

Oh and quick side note. Here is a shot of side by side comparison for strand count of Stinger HPM 1/0 and Sky High Car Audio 1/0 ... Both are OFC, the stinger is in the silver jacket on the left. Sky High is much cheaper, and WAY more flexible to install. Would never pay for the lesser Stinger wire again!
