Triticum Agricolam Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 With six DVC subs you should be able to wire to like 1.333 ohms, which should play nice with your 1 ohm stable amp and you wouldn't be giving up much performance compared to running at 1-ohm. I don't know off the top of my head if you would need 2-ohm coils for 4-ohm coils, but one of the two should work. Go-N-Def Posted September 21, 2014 Author Report Posted September 21, 2014 So when more subs are added theres a chance to end up with a higher ohm which i think you ll see lower wattage from the amp, But if this is not damaging to the amp I may look into this. Yo dog i heard you like boxes. so i put a box inside a box so you can bass while you FAIL

The only thing that is going to hurt your amp is running below rated impedance. Wiring multiple subs can give you a number of different impedances when wired in series or parallel. You need to understand how circuits work before you build a system or your gunna waste your own money. 03 Sable LS AA mayhem 12" D2 Sundown ZV4 12" D1 Tantric HD 12" D2 Tantric SHD 12" D1 Sundown X12 V2 D2 2.5 cu net Sundown 2000d @ 1 ohm XS Power XP2000 Sky High Sound Deadener Sky High wire Stock alt
ROLEXrifleman Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 don't over complicate this. It's simple math The most important part that I don't think anyone mentioned was using speakers of the same resistance, if not the wattage wont be divided equally and the output will be mismatched. Meaning don't use 3 subs with a final impedance of say 2 ohms and then one with 4 in the same circuit. After you get the circuit resistance just make sure it isn't lower than the amplifiers spec sheet calls for then just dived the wattage at that particular load by the number of subs. done Rolex you sicken me. Yes I do, wrote that to the OP, not you Mr. 1% The OP isn't 99% of this forum and your way off if you think 99% of the people who are here know that. Considering a guy above this post with like 775 post count didn't know that he could add more subs to his setup, and RAISE his final impedance... yeah, I think that mentioning not mixing woofers with different impedance coils is a pretty valid point.
Hotdog Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 Maybe the OP is a visual learner. I'm not trying to be funny, and im not trying to impress anyone. Wasn't aiming anything at you, I just think that its very easy to look up a simple DVC subwoofer wiring diagram and look at it, rather than post it on a forum and have someone else answer the question for you. 03 Sable LS AA mayhem 12" D2 Sundown ZV4 12" D1 Tantric HD 12" D2 Tantric SHD 12" D1 Sundown X12 V2 D2 2.5 cu net Sundown 2000d @ 1 ohm XS Power XP2000 Sky High Sound Deadener Sky High wire Stock alt
ROLEXrifleman Posted September 21, 2014 Report Posted September 21, 2014 I get that, but come on man you know how these forums work. The majority of the time people are either to lazy to use the search key or truly so confused don't know how to even look up what they mean. At least this OP is listening to what people are saying which is rare, most of the time noobs ask questions and then try and prove why your wrong for answering the way you did. I'm not trying to start no shit with anyone. But that 99% you tossed up there man is way off. I think I know a lot about a lot and that still aint shit compared to some of the guys here. I think basics should always be brought up in threads when they can, you never know who's reading them and it lays down a foundation for those who are reading to learn and otherwise might not know these things.
