SmellsLikeFish Posted October 6, 2014 Author Report Posted October 6, 2014 Everything is off center. The coil was rubbing on the magnet inside. I did remove the metal that is in top of motor now. The glue broke free. Is this something that can be repaired. Quote
audiofanaticz Posted October 6, 2014 Report Posted October 6, 2014 The top plate is shifted, the woofer probably has been dropped and broke the adhesive loose. It can be fixed, ive fixed a few for people already, you need patience and a good shim to shim it out center, which can be a pain since the magnets are magnetized unlike they are upon initial assembly. And what about the bottem plate? It may have moved a bit as well. What type of adhesive is used on this part of the build? Quote
