Some of you who frequent chat will remember our discussions about this from yesterday. Those who don't go in chat, I had a feeling something was wrong inside the box, it just didn't feel 'right' and I knew I could hear something bad.

Popped the centre sub out, so I crawl inside *just*, my fatass barely gets in.

Couldn't see anything obvious wrong, was looking over the woofers, pushed on the passenger side top woofer, and it just flopped around in its hole, just hanging there..... WTF

A broken screw, look at the next screw, broken, next screw, broken, four screws out of eight broken on that woofer, now that can't be good! Lucky I picked it up, it would have REALLY sucked if the woofer fell. Fixed that up, made it all solid.

So while I had the sub out and was inside the box I thought I'd make some more changes...

Thanks guys, RE the screws, they aren't '22ga baby screws' like some have suggested. I have big hands. They are high quality Wurth branded screws, I believe 8ga. This is why they sheered:

^ That can't be good?

Time to make some changes while I was inside the box anyway! Damn I'm still young and growing, when I first built this I could crawl in and out of the box all day with ease, not I can barely fit through, even tore my T Shirt getting in and out, and god damn it was hot inside the enclosure!

The hard work was worth it though, here's what I did.

More length baby!

Should tune it nice and LOW, considering it was at 33Hz or something before...

But even a drop sheet could not help what was coming next..

Posted Image

All it was was a bit or flaring over here with the 'flap disc' on a grinder...

Look at the dust!!

Damn..

Stay tuned for more
