Charger
To boost this thread to a quick start I copied and pasted a few posts worth of text and pics from a thread of mine from another forum together. So in some spots it might not make sense 100% but as it stands now it's updated as of last night's work. Just picked this bucket up really cheaply from the ghetto (literally). Might get pretty loud, what do you think? So loud the window has broken already!! It's a Holden Jackaroo, but to you guys, you know it as Isuzu Trooper.. Started stripping out the rear interior this arvo. Nice and flat floor, not to mention the whole rear is pretty much square as. Should be pretty easy to add some audio refinements very soon! I also started cutting the paint back, can you tell where?? As any CAAWA members would know, I hate my cars being dirty so I have to get this POS looking clean as possible As far as the windscreen goes, I'll leave it in until the system is in. Maybe if it's loud enough it might evoke the cracks a little more! What's in here? Hope to have six of these babies in the back. Next to the 'big' Yellowtop, lol. I think Absorbed Power batteries they rock! Didn't get to do much today but finished polishing the whole car. Now it's not dull and crappy, it's just shiny and crappy. I also stripped out the rear and busted out the tape measure for a first measure up not as much room as I wanted but still can do something with it Still gotta rip off all the old tint to my tint on, it's a real pain to do. Didn't have much time today but did some more stripping of the rear interior. Cut away all the pointless bracketry that would get in my way. Also busted out my tape measure and did some more measuring. All is good, except I can only fit five batteries in the back. Ohh well still should have heaps of enclosure volume! Charger
Bit of an update, this is what I did this evening after work. Got the floor laid down, 54mm thick. Got one of the sides started, it's only two layers thick at the moment, I will add atleast another layer to it of course to get it to 54mm thick aswell at the very minimum. This car was so easy to start working on, it's practically square. I haven't got the exact measurements but I think it's just shy of 40 cubic feet I also 'tinted' my windows from the B pillar back, it makes a huge difference. Cheers and keep tuned in for another update this Sunday Previous 150+ daily rides: Volvo 240 wagon 2 x DD Audio 9915s walled, Isuzu Trooper 6 x DD Audio 3515s walled clamshell, Lexus LX470 2 x Kicked Solo X 18s, Lexus LS400 4 x American Bass HD18 walled SMD - System of The Month August 2008 My Youtube Videos

Charger
Entered a comp today with my 'crappy system' and won first place in my class and got a $100 gift voucher for JB HiFi. Bought three packs of Stinger Roadkill with the voucher, thanks JB! Obviously this is nowhere near enough matting to do any car so to be safe I picked up a Bulk Pack of Dynamat from the boys at Alberts Car Stereo Cannington, thanks guys I had a few spare hours this evening so I did my roof, which is a mega flex point for most cars. This is the crappy rooflining all saggy so it's going bye bye! I can definitely say the Dynamat is a 100x better product. The job wasn't perfect because I was working above my head but it's still stuck nicely, just a few crinkles. My roof is now dead as hell, sounds like concrete when you wrap your knuckles on the outside. Did a little bit of work today, only got a couple of hours work in, both sides are in, three layers thick, looks pretty strong, I hope it is. Hugs the edge of the car pretty well, about a 1 inch gap on the top half but some expanda foam will sort that out. I also ran out of glue and wood so that stopped progress Also blacked out my wheels and took off the crappy centre caps, I want to put my bigger tyres on to fill the guards out more. But I think this makes the car look a little better anyway. I love my tint too!!
