Retnuhbackwords Posted October 10, 2014 Author Report Posted October 10, 2014 Their customer service is great, at the top along with a couple other companies in the industry. Not sure why we've come to expect less and awesome customer service isn't the norm, kinda sad really. I've digressed... Products are very good. They've had some issues, but those were new products and they have fixed them and taken care of everyone. There is a place and install for every driver, and Sundown's subs may not fit all installs perfectly just like any other brand, but if they do, you very likely will not be disappointed. Afficionado Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 I had a z v.3 12" it was a monster until i let someone take my car and they blew it.. Then I got 2x X-12's, Those were sweet, won my most recent comp with a 148.2 sealed in the trunk. Selling those and getting z v.4 12's and plan on breaking into the 50's..hopefully i'll be satisfied for a while.. I would say around half the people at my last comp ran Sundown drivers, maybe slightly less, but they were by FAR the most popular brand there. If you have any questions relating to nutrition, lifting, or health in general, feel free to give me a PM and I will give you straight forward advice with no BS involved.
Nightshade Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 I've been running Sundown subs and amps since 2008. In fact it is the only company who's products I have used for bass reproduction since that time. There is a reason I have been a loyal customer for 6 years now and each one of them has already been listed more than once. 2013 VW Jetta GLI 2.0 Turbo 1 Sundown Audio SCV2000 1 Sundown Audio X15 V2 1 XS Power D3100 Audio Control LC6i Stock Deck 146.4 sealed on the dash at 37hz 2001 Focus ZX3: RETIRED Team Sundown Audio, Team XS Power, 2 time NSPL Car 3601-Up Champion, 2 time NSPL Car Hardcore ChampionHighest NSPL Scores to date:154.3db on the dash sealed at 46hz, 156.2db in the kick at 46hz155.2db unofficial on dash at 43hz

704piree1 Posted October 10, 2014 Report Posted October 10, 2014 Been a car audio enthusiast over 20 yrs. In all those years Ive heard & owned a LOT of different brands. Ive done a lot of research & spent countless hours comparing products, because when it comes to spending my hard earned money, I want the best. I might add, usually trying to get the "best bang for the buck" too. I can not afford to dump tens of thousands of dollars into my builds, but I AM willing to spend good money once I know Im getting the best that my money can buy. It took me a while, but I finally have come to the conclusion that Sundown is pretty much the only subs & amps I ever want to run from now on (& have been running for a while now). There subs (&s) are the best Ive ever had & heard. Currently, Im running a single Zv4 18 on a SAZ3500 @ 1 ohm in a 8 cube NET box, ported/ tuned low & it absolutely slams. The Lows were the best & cleanest Ive ever heard personally. Its exactly what I wanted to always hear out of a sub (or subs). And BTW, the Zv4 takes every watt that the UNDER rated 3500.1 v2 can dish out all day long!!! (SMD DD1 tuned of course)...Subs=WAY under rated! Amps= very under rated too. For mids & highs, I got a Sundown SAX-125.4 and it blew away the sound quality of any of my other amps that Ive had before. Ive switched out a LOT of subs & amps just in the SUV that I have that setup in right now & the difference when I finally switched over to sundown was insane. Im getting another Zv4 VERY soon to run 2 of them, & contemplating a 4-15" setup in the future when I upgrade to the Sundown NS-1 amp (double the power).. I was going to bring the saz3500 to .5 ohm (on strong electrical) for when I add the 2nd sub for the 2-18" set up, but I just found a used NS-1 today for a great price, so hopefully VERY soon Ill have the (2) Zv4s on a NS-1 @ 1ohm. The 3500 would run perfectly fine @ .5 but I cant pass up the deal on the NS-1. 1 ohm does give me a little better feeling about a daily ground pounder, but really having even MORE POWER to play with for future upgrades is just too tempting. Sundown is one of the (possibly even THE) strongest amps to have when running .5 & I've seen people go much lower even though I think that's a bit crazy. Bottom line is- until I started running sundown for myself, I thought (assumed) they were probably over hyped, but now (obviously) I cant say enough about how happy I am to be running sundown & I don't plan on changing over any time in the foreseeable future....* Damn, I usually don't type this much, but I get to talking about sundown & guess it turns into a long ramble. Blah blah blah, Im done. Sundown FTW. 2003 Escalade on 24s *Daily driver, *Not a comp set up. Well issues are expected I believe the Zv4 and X subs are the first subs with a big surround like that to become wildly popular.
