In the event you do not have a router then the choice is yours to use a course blade or a fine blade depending on how smooth a finish you want on the edge. The blade is to floppy and will twist out of line, It would be better to just have a steady hand and take your time. Then finish with a block and sandpaper. Or better still find a way to use a router as mentioned, I love mine!
