I've got a problem with 2 of my Solid Audio f2500d amps that i need to strap. The slave function appears to have gone down on 1 amp so i'm in need of another option

cliogerbil Posted November 6, 2014 Author Report Posted November 6, 2014 I have 6x Solid Audio f2500d amps running 3 Orion HCCA 15.2's in a wall. If i run 1 amp per coil then i'm only looking at a 2ohm load per amp and its not providing enough. If i run strapped at 0.5ohm then its providing so much more Do you have another idea?

The thing is I had the amps bench tested. At 1ohm they are making 2kw. at 0.5ohm for a strapped pair they're only making just over 3kw due to the onboard master/slave function With a Maxxlink i beiieve it doesn't drain anything so i should get 4kw per sub so free power too
audiofanaticz Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 You wont get 1000 watts more out of a strapped pair of amps using the maxxlink... I had 2 of them and both just stopped working. They are junk.
