rockFord_Expedition Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 All common sense/courtesy gets shit canned when you are being polite at a red light, have your system down, and some dumbass pulls up wanging on his and you know you can drown him out in his own vehicle. The only reasonable thing to do in that case is show him up lol. Maybe ill get over the urge to do that one day, but for now, that's the protocol. Ive been on both ends of that. pioneerforlife Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 with my old setup (single 15) I would do full tilt almost anywhere. My past setup which was way louder I was much more careful. Usually I would only go full tilt on freeways. 2007 Ford Focus SES Hatchback Pioneer HU 4 Digital Designs 9515i's in a B pillar. 2 Soundstream XXX 15K's (running at 16 volts) Soundstream Mids/Highs in custom door panels (getting rebuilt soon) Soundstream TA2.160 and TA2.400 Sky High and KNU wiring 3 Banks of Maxwell caps Winston Lithium (not a fan) Bump4Life 250 Amp Alt. aka USAlternators Soundstream Focus and Avenger Build Log Instagram @p4linnovation YouTube: Team Blowin Loud
n8ball2013 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Once you get loud. Like mid 50s and above it can be physically tough to drive full tilt. I realize that with the volume on 20 its not loud compared to 35 and +15 sub out but it might still be louder than most becasue of the cone area and power. Those are all things to consider. Aj11 Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 I've been thinking about that N8, you guys with the 150 160+ vehicles. how much full Tilt do you guys really do? I've been in plenty cars that can do those numbers but its usually for a Song or less at a rip. it seems like you have this great system and can do these great numbers...but if you were listen to it at full tilt for a hour or more like the rest of us, well you'd do death. for real tho,.using your truck as a example how many mins/hours have you actually listened to your truck at full tilt? or the longest you've gone consecutively listening to it? your over the 160 mark correct? jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)
n8ball2013 Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 I don't know where I'm at but its not a 160. Maybe 155 or so. I don't full tilt much for a few reasons. It blurs my vision and makes me feel like I'm choking. It forces open the third door and I'm afraid it'll come flying open and it give you a headache after so long. Typically a loud cruising session is 0 sub out and about 28. Full tilt is plus 15 and 35. It really is tough to do with real music for too long. The 30s and 40s do a number on you physically especially my kidneys THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger.
n8ball2013 Posted November 9, 2014 Report Posted November 9, 2014 Oh and if I hAd to guess on say my average lowes run that's about 45 to 60 minutes I full tilt less than 15 minutes probably less. If someone is in front of me going slow I'll rip it, they'll pull over. I know dick move but it's in the country. If I ever caught someone beating I'd give it another 30 seconds. Other than at its just a cruise.
