Jeff4661 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 I'm just curious on personal opinions of a proper bass head etiquette. Ex. Bassing in traffic? Bassing in the early am? Bassing in the late pm? In other words when is a good time to turn it up? Or down? Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/
mcfalcon Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 I turn it down when at stoplights with ppl next to me. On my way to work at 330 AM i leave it off till I hit interstate. Probably after 9 or 10 at night Ill cut back on it when around houses. In town I generally do what I want unless like I said Im at a standstill next to ppl. Still learning but have started gathering.
dionysus Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 ? Its ALWAYS a good time to turn it up! 11pm 3am 6 am in neighborhoods!! LOL I'm 100% joking! Interstate is the best to beat but inner city I don't put the bass up too much so I don't draw police attention and dont bother others, I just personally like to drive under the radar and there's no point to full tilt in traffic and be a dick lol Build log link, (Slow Build) http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/183469-dionysuss-02-eddie-bauer-explorer-slow-budget-build-sundown-4-chan-guts-pg-4/ Team AB son!

It sounds similar to the way I use my system rather conservative.. Current build 05 Yukon SLT http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/195350-jeffs-05-yukong-wall-build/

Aj11 Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 im the same, turn it Down at redlights, or neighborhoods... early morning i don't bass.. i listen to free beer and hot wings. pass 10pm i usually keep it Down unless I'm on the highway. there are a few times i will full tilt at a red light. 1) if i pull up And some one is on there phone (its illegal in NY) so i do it to piss them off. childish i know. 2) if some kid next to Me is going "full tilt" with his maxed out gain..prefab distorted kicker crap. 3) if someone is just sitting at a green light... i don't have a horn...so i use bass. 4) if a song comes on and the drop is to good to miss! at least once a week i see some Lil "thug" leave his car at a gas station (getting gas or running in) windows down/door open while "system" is full tilt. it takes every bit of restraint not to Bitch slap him tie him up and lock him in the trunk of my car and drive around full Tilt for a few hours. do they really think there cool? yea you hard jamming out to dark horse! jvc deck stinger 1800 front hc 2000 kinetic rear 2 runs of 1/0g big 3/4 ct 60.4 2 ct 1400.1 ct EXO 15 d1 lots of deadner type r comps front stage 6 kicker tweets rear stage lots of great stuff coming soon ho alt more bats ct comps for front stage more deadner sweet amp rack lots of L.E.D lights new deck (thinking 80 prs, or flip out)

SnowDrifter Posted November 8, 2014 Report Posted November 8, 2014 Basically... I see it as this: Your system is for you to enjoy, not to annoy other people. Assume no one else around you wants to hear it and use your best judgement. No stop lights, parking lots, neighborhoods, churches, hospitals, traffic, etc. While driving, only bump in a manner that provides other people an "out." Like the open highway or something, not packed in traffic ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
