The 350 amp Large Case Hairpin Stator GM alternator is the most Powerful unit available to replace standard AD244 alternators. This Elite series unit features our double-stack rectifier with (12) large 65 amp press fit diodes and an over sized output stud for excellent durability. These powerhouses crank out over 180+ amps (hot rated) at just 600 RPM engine speed on any standard GM truck, with full 350+ amps at anything above 1800 rpm engine speed! A 46mm hard coated billet aluminum 6 rib pulley is used to maximize low RPM output, so a 1/2 inch to 1 inch shorter than stock length belt (not included) is recommended for optimum belt tension. 370 amp Elite series units are made in the USA and come with a 2 year warranty. This unit is for select 2005+ GM trucks and SUV's with 2 pin alternator plug.

I know the question is going to be............. What is the difference between this and the 370amp units? Well.................. 20amps and $100 less expensive are the two biggest differences. These units also come with cast cases, which in reality most people have no clue what that really means. The cast casings are not as aesthetically pleasing as the 370 units to some people, but they are still powerhouse units.

i have a 340a alt i got back in 2011. the alt is for a 1998 expedition with the 4.6 is there a way you can change it to fit a gm?
