slapmaster
this iz 18 10 in a locan what u thank lol, thanks for posting the link. i've be lerking around on smd.com for over two years now and nearly on a daily bassis. Steve has been a BIG influence on me as far as wanting to build the bigest possible system i can build within my budget of only a couple houndred a month. i've shown his vids to many many people localy and their reactions are always the same, their jaws drop and they say they havn't seen anything like it. Ficaraudio is a brand that was unherd of before i started showing people steve's vids. and know their a few of my freinds down here (mobile al) that have fi 18's ssd's and btl's and they are killin. Ed ( the guy how built my box and also runs a local sound shop "TWEET SHOP") has just got his order of 4 btl 18s. he will be putting them in a dodge qoud cab 99-03ish with a camper shell just put on the house the wall for the 4 18s. it will be a blowthrew threw the rear window. i never bothered posting any of my custom work or sound system because i felt it couldn't stack up close to the great work steve and his members has posted. I am a fulltime cardiology tech at night. but in my spair time in the day i do custome fiberglass work at my homeboy's custome shope here in town. i'll post pics of my work if any body here has an interest. Sampsonite
LOL @ some of the coments at ca.com "" That picture would definitely make me laugh with or without the text on it. I can imagine a situation where the cashier asks if he wants a bag and watching him staring blankly back at her for a few moments until he answers, "Yes, yes, I want a bag for my 10' PVC pipe." Then he calmly takes the bag and walks out. It plays out nicely in my head. --Sampson 816-591-6592 www.kcrimshop.com
LSN2meBoom916
150.8 at the dash. Quoted from OP on CA.com: "...o and by the way I did get it metered to day with an acoustic db meter. hit a 150.8 at the dash. but I am positive that someone on hear will fill the need to tell me they have heard louder..." acoustic meter? Is acoustic the BRAND of the meter? I would not doubt it...seeing you said 150.8....and not 115.8db And unless it's on a Term Lab mic....No one is really gonna consider that any form of validation...prolly even hurt it's credibility. I know, i know "you're not looking for validation...someone asked what it metered"...but they meant on the Term Lab mic. I would suggest runnning 8-10's in there of Higher quality (You paid about $25ea per sub or $500 for 20subs...) 8 Kicker CVR 10's off ebay at about $60ea shipped would have run you $480...so you save $20 and have room to make a PROPER designed box, that considers the trunk being used and you could prolly burp about a 150db TL. Just an idea...I read you were selling this stuff and gonna rebuild? I live to educate and inform the ignorant, inexperienced and lazy masses...so that I don't have to stumble upon such terrible behavior and ignorant comments (see the Orig. post on CA.com for ex's...or the post of Chevyridah's Caprice there...that place is horrid and I refuse to post there... ...however I will give THIS guy (OP) some USEFULL info to minimize the hassles on his next build, ...as long as he is here on smd. What's it to you? I think he can stand up for himself, he has been doin it over 20+pages over there. BTW-looks like it slams eh?..really?
