bcbrassard Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Didnt read all this but wait until after CES. Rockford has some updates going in with the t1 line as my boss (RF dealer) has said. They will be releasing them/shipping the after CES. The updates are suppose to be both visual and cooling changes. Should handle the power better. While waiting to find out all the info research other companies. Lots if choices. Oh and a t1 could handle that 1500 at 2ohm a pair can easily handle the 700-800 you will get on music at 1ohm. Just make sure its a clean signal as said already. It was 1 ohm, not 2 but probobly closer to 2 w/ box rise, ect. My biggest problem with RF is why are they so far behind in the sub development when they have such good amps and some mids & highs comps. I was turned on to them almost 20 yrs ago which was the driving force to a all RF power series build but after almost 4 yrs on here and what i have learned i would go with a more budget friendly brand. Thank god for amazon and the half prices i paid on RF products. Those days are long gone but glad i got in on it while the prices where good.
Desiel21 Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Before i set mine up on double rated power i contacted RF and straight up ask them if there subs where under rated like there amps. I was told NO and to over power at my own risk. Peaks ratings are for music and very short periods. RMS of course is another matter. But it did it. I built confidence when i had it on a 99 T1000a1 bd in 1 ohm and that amp( which is rated stable @ 2 ohms ) rocked that sub with 12-1300 watts so i was like whats 600 more watts! lol Sub was like $210 off amazon so if i blew it oh well. But it took it! Funny thing is they are like $400 on amazon now. i wanted to get another and build a box for 2 to replace the HDS310s i am running now. But shit i can buy 2 Skar or sundowns for the price of one T1 so the old amp and T1 will go in the wifes car. Cant justify that cost for one sub anymore. I'm in the same boat as you. I want MORE but the cost are getting higher and the option of Sundown is also in my future as well. n8ball2013, on 19 Dec 2014 - 02:33 AM, said: man seeing that dollar sign fucking hurt my feelings. they didnt cover it black out windows or add lube even My wife didn't like Decaf.. Until she sat on my subwoofer.
alaskanzx5 Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 CES is in about a month. Their subs aren't really behind, they aren't trying to push fir spl anymore. They have plateaud at a spot where there name is huge and profit is good. Eventually they will push further and when they do they are more the capable of being one the biggest spl brands again. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
load350z Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 I had the same setup as u do, from my experience the t1's handled my t1500bdcp with no problems and I hammered on them consistently! But I do have upgraded electrical so the power was clean. 2002 Nissan Altima v6 3.5 Four Incriminator Audio Death Penalty 15s 5 Pairs DS18 Pro Audio X6.5BM 3 Pairs DS18 Super Tweeters Taramps TS2000x4 (Mids Amp) Incriminator Audio 6.4 (Tweeter Amp) Incriminator Audio 40.1 subs amp Rockford Fosgate 3sixty.3 3 shuriken batteries (BT-80 under the hood) (2 BT-120 in the trunk) with isolator Big 3 zero gauge. Guest Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 I just purchased a Rockford T1500-bd. This is NOT the constant power version so it does about 1200-1300 rms at 2ohms and 1700-1800 at 1ohm. New Text Here: So I am still torn about getting the Rockford T1s. I want to keep my options open. So if I had two JBL W12GTi MKIIs (700rms a piece), and I wired them down to 1.5 ohms, how much power would my amp be giving them? How accurate is it to just to average the 1ohm and 2ohm rating? Would this amp work on these subs?
alaskanzx5 Posted December 11, 2014 Report Posted December 11, 2014 Damn thougt I was in a different thread here lol Look, that amp is rated for 1500@1ohm and what ever its says for 2 ohms (nit the birtsheet number) In real life though you will se at most maybe 75-80% of those ratings on music. It will fluctuate as the freq changes, songs change, source changes. The only real question to ask here is can 2 700watt sub take just under 1500watts? The answer is yes. They can. If the signal and source is clean You can blow a 1k rms amp on 500watts with a dirty signal. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.

And there is not really a 1.5ohm rms rating for this amp.
