Saltine Posted April 1, 2008 Report Share Posted April 1, 2008 i was 100% honest i was trying out to be an NOPD officer and i think my recruiter was retarded and to say the least i cant be a cop in New Orleans ever. i think a few ???'s got me but what really got me mad today was that he asked what i drive and it was listed on the paperwork. i told him an isuzu pickup. he goes what type of pickup. i tell him a mini truck. he says no what type of truck. i told him i had no clue what he was talking about. he said there should be a model. i replied its an isuzu "pickup" he still argued that it cant be and should have a model name. i said the model is "pickup" i got a lil angry and said check the title, insurance card and registration that you have in front of you. so all in all i drive an "Isuzu ???" i appearantly wasnt trueful with him as to what i drive and that with maybe 2 other ???'s i cant be a NOPD cop anymore. as i look at it if i had to work with ppl like him i wouldnt make it anyway o yea he also wanted exact dates for things that happened 10+ years ago i couldnt remember and he still wanted them and he asked me if i was still paying for my truck. i was like its a 91 i paid cash straight up for it. then i hit up the casino and watched them filming "12 rounds" with WWE"s john cena Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Saltine Posted April 2, 2008 Author Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 cant retake it after the polygraph. and the title, my insurance card and the registration says "isuzu" "pkup" he kept telling me no there has to be a name for it. i really didnt know what to tell him. at anytime they feel your not being honest it can be terminated at anytime with no reason(s) given like i said if i had to deal with ppl like that, then im better off not working there. theres plenty other jobs available and im still employed at my current job so its all good. this cop was also hinting that i had my tickets fixed, which i did dont think its a crime b/c every last one of them got dismissed. even one i plead guilty to and was required to pay a fine. case dismissed, court cost dismissed never payed a dime. i just beat there system with those and he wanted me to fill out my military history on the app. i told him i was never in the military and he said i still had to fill it out. GHOPPOMAN Posted April 2, 2008 Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 a little unknown fact is throughout the hiring process for police officers is that they asked many questions that r instigative to see how u react. they try to weed out the hotheads or the ones that cant take critisism. during my hiring process years ago they sent me to a sheriff's dept pshyc. and he told me he thought tattoos were dumb and since i have some what does that make me? i felt like crushing him right there but i just replied i guess thats your opinion! they also use poly and pshyc to get rid of u for anything they didnt like on your app or background. However, if tested by someone who is very familiar with human biology, mainly the nervous and circulatory systems, and psychology , there is a very strong chance that it will be accurate, and the interrogator , properly trained, should be able to tell from the various monitors used on you and your body language or "tells" as the poker hands call it ; if you are either nervous, lying, telling the truth, or just really not know for sure the answer to the question. MusicJunkie Posted April 2, 2008 Report Share Posted April 2, 2008 yep i feel your pain on failin the polygraph, i failed one trying to prove that i had never used let alone touched cocaine in my life because im on a drug court program similar to probation and one of my drug tests came up positive for high amounts of cocaine.
