What note do you like your sub to play to?

Recommended Posts

It was really cool to see my truck bust out a noticeable 4 htz tone every once in a while ...

Damn I miss those days !!!

... Thinking about changing my name to "SQ Big Rig" guys ....

Anyone care to guess what I'm planning ??

Oh come on, don't be a tease....

I will start a thread on it asap.

who needs mids and highs, my sub plays from 2-20,000 hz!

i wonder how fast a woofer would cook at 20khz. say a 2000w rms woofer with 1500w at 20k hz... a few seconds? i kinda want to tr, just need the woofer.

Damn what do you have that will put out 1.5kw @ 20kHz?

20,000hz out of a subwoofer.

That's cute since most monoblock amplifiers only have an output of 10hz to 300hz

i seen a few full range monoblocks before.

Yeah dude most of us consider the lows around 25-30 hz, some people like even lower than that.

Yes but, If you say 25 hz around here almost everyone's pants just get chapped in a major way. Then they'll start saying "what ever happened to just being loud" and then refer to one hairtrick machine they seen tuned to like, 7 hz and saying "all the young kids do this" and go take their heart medication or have a nap or something. LOL.

Back in the day when drivers were more transducers or loudspeakers ... They normally had no problems playing practically full range ... Could they actually reproduce those notes ??? Yea, but not without help to make things sound correctly. But it wouldn't hurt them.

Now today's subwoofers witch most of you know today are designed only to play below 70 htz ...

So yea ... Hope this helps.
