Triticum Agricolam
I can't seem to get my enclosure port velocity below 30 m/s. I'll most likely be getting (90% sure of it) that I'll order a Fi BL 10" subwoofer. Do you think you can help me Triticum? Sure, if I can. Though lowering port velocity is a pretty straight forward thing, just make the port bigger. Fitting that larger port into the box is the tricky part. I have a design that I want you to look at (if you want) and tell me if it'll work or not. I also, would like some help in determining how to bend wood to make a flared port. I'll post the design up soon. Just doing the finishing touches. mrazandrewm
Here's a picture of the design I was thinking of doing. It's 1 Ft^3 tuned to about 32 Hz. The port is 6" x 3". Joe X
Well, that brace looks almost like a problem, something lighter would be more than enough.
kirill007
I like 20m/s, atleast you know for sure Guess I'm good to go, my minimum is 15.02. But anyways OP, have you tried that and checked your port area off of Krakin's links? Minimum? It's supposed to be maximum. I'm not looking for port area. I know how much port area I need. I just want to know the velocity that it needs to stay under. Port area is directly related to air velocity. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for. Triticum Agricolam
Well, that brace looks almost like a problem, something lighter would be more than enough. X 2. I like where that brace is, but I would simplify it significantly. Can you post a link to your sketchup file?
