Ok guys need some insight on what I wanna do. I got 2 15's in the trunk (re se x) kenwood rears and infinity in the front. I want to make a center console box for my buick lesabre and put a skar ma 8 in for more spl good idea or bad ? I dont wana change nothing in the trunk just want to know if it would be ok or not to add the 8" woofer in the center console

Its not the best idea to mix subs, Then it wouldnt sound as good as it could be, Maybe if you put it on the right crossover so it only hits something like 80-150hz and the 15's hit 20-80.

Using it as adding more sub bass won't do anything, but if you intend to use it as midbass then you'll gain the missing part most systems lack between the sub and sound stage. You will need a pair and have them fire into each side of the car for best effect as midbass is directional unlike the sub stage.

unless you care about mid-bass then no need for it...I agree with Skullz

As said, unless you're going to use a bandpass crossover then probably not the best idea.

Ok then no need to spend 130 bucks on ab spl woofer just get some midbass wooferz to put in the center console

Sucks that I couldnt add the skar woofer since I already started to make my box :/

go out and get 2 mid woofers. you can do the same thing your thinking of. i would do a sealed box and run them at 50-550hz then cross the mids in your doors at 500hz And so on. you'll be surprised how much better real mid woofers will sound then that sub.

plus i don't like putting over 120hz to any sub.

not to mention you can get 2 prv 4ohm 8inch mids for about $60 bucks. so with your budget of $130 you can spend $70 bucks on a nice 2 channel amp to power them if you don't have one already.

Ok just seen an old video of shca and thwy have a tahoe with 6 18" woofers and a 10" center console sub. So why wouldnt the 2 15's and 8 " woofer idea work ?
